If you have been appointed as an executor of someone’s estate, it can be a daunting concept coupled with grieving over the death of a loved one. Problems can also arise if the estate is not dealt with in a timely manner nor handled properly.

At TMT Legal Services our expert Probate Lawyers will guide you through your legal responsibilities and handle the estate administration.

We will:

  • establish whether a Grant of Representation is needed

  • collate all relevant estate information

  • arrange valuations

  • pay any Inheritance Tax (IHT) or Capital Gains Tax (CGT)

  • draft the probate papers

  • deal with the remaining assets

  • liaise with HMRC

  • settle liabilities

Where there is a property to sell or transfer, the process runs alongside the probate administration and is charged separately.

Our fees will depend on the complexity of the matter and we can give you a more accurate quote once we have more information.

If you wish to know more, please feel free to pop in (over tea and biscuits) or please get in touch, we would be more than happy to discuss this with you.
