James Macdonald

Senior Conveyancing Executive

As a Senior Conveyancing Executive, James’ role is primarily to oversee the progress of a broad range of property transactions from initial instruction through to exchange and completion. More specifically, James uses his extensive knowledge and experience to advise on more complex property transactions and ensure that these proceed as quickly and stress-free as possible.

James prides himself on his attention to detail and his ability to convert legal jargon into “Plain English” advice for clients. Having also spent many years working for a major UK housebuilder, James has a unique perspective on the pressures and challenges that apply when buying or selling a new home.

James has a conveyancing career spanning some 20 years and, prior to joining TMT, spent 9 years working as a Conveyancing Team Leader within the in-house Legal function of Taylor Wimpey UK Limited.

Before this, James worked for two large, Hampshire-based law firms, acting for a number of developer, lender and private clients across a mix of both residential and commercial property transactions.

Outside of work, James lives with his family in Fair Oak. He is a keen cyclist and has completed various long-distance cycling challenges. He is also a self-confessed coffee snob, adult fan of Lego, and not-so-proud owner of Hobbs, a 4-year-old Golden Retriever.
